There are many reasons why trees might need pruning.
- Improving the structure of the tree
- Remove dangerous or defective branches

Crown Reduction – reducing the overall size of the tree canopy
Crown Thinning – removal of selected branches to improve lighting or reduce wind loading
Pollarding – heavily reducing the tree to the main stem of the tree or a framework
Height reduction – removing selected limbs to maintain trees to a desired height
Crown Lifting – removal or reducing lower limbs to achieve a desired height clearance
Cutting back from property – removal of selected limbs to create a desired clearance from property and correct pruning will reduce future encroachment
